Base Grow Fee Discussions

FY2026 August base grow fee discussions have begun. NSWPGC will work collaboratively with the process to ensure a fair grow fee is provided. The National CPI for the past year is 3.8% and the Sydney CPI is 4.0%. The CPI growth was impacted by the March 2026 War overseas. The current discussions are focused on aligning payments with updated cost modelling to support long-term sustainability across the grower network.

Members will be provided with further details in the next face to face meeting.

NSWPGC will continue representing growers collectively to reach a balanced outcome.

Cost Model Review

FY2026 Update. NSWPGC will be reviewing the cost models for one processor as Base grow fee negotiations begin. NSWPGC will undertaking further analysis with supporting data to be provided by members. FY2025 model review is available to members upon request.

Independent Benchmarking

In May 2026, an independent report was completed and is available to members. This work has helped in the ability to understand the grower's viability and will assist NSWPGC in advocating for equitable outcomes.

Contract Renewals

Several NSWPGC members have been able to secure contracts which satisfy their requirements and needs.

Industry Reporting Update

NSWPGC attended a national conference in Canberra in May which the Federal Minister for Agriculture attended. The conference was hosted by ACGC, with many members from NSWPGC attending.

Member Representation and Privacy

NSWPGC will continue protecting member privacy and representing growers in accordance with member direction. All representation decisions are guided by collective member interests.

Contract Support and Review

Growers currently negotiating contracts are receiving support from NSWPGC, backed by independent financial analysis. Members are encouraged to review their contracts early and engage NSWPGC for assistance.

Further legal advice is being sought regarding potential contract review options. Updates will be shared once confirmed.

Payment Review Reminder

Members are encouraged to review recent payments to ensure all applicable supplements and entitlements have been applied correctly. Any concerns should be raised promptly so they can be addressed.
